Job Title: Production Planning Supervisor

Job Summary

Full time, 1st Shift, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Starting pay of $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Monday thru Friday

To supervise the planning, scheduling and issuing of work to the production department based on customer orders and plant capacity; to achieve a smooth and efficient workflow in coordination with the sales department to achieve customer satisfaction, including due dates and delivery coordination.

Specific Responsibility Expectation

Production: Manage department to plan, schedule and issue work to the production departments in a timely manner; monitor production status; identify delays and adjust schedules to ensure timely delivery. Assist in meeting production deadlines and promised finish dates.

Supervision: Supervise and train the production planning employees to maximize accuracy and efficiency of the department.

Continuous Improvement

Evaluate processes. Recommend process changes to improve FVI productivity, quality and safety. Establish practices, protocols, and train employees to improve efficiencies. Encourage employees to continuously improve.

Support and Communication: Be aware of inventory and production issues and timely communicate with other departments and Management to maximize successful operations. Be proactive.

Sales coordination: Ensure that sales orders are attached to the appropriate work orders. When completed, review for accuracy of quality, quantity and documentation. Ensure that work orders are closed and ready for immediate invoicing and ready for shipment to customer’s satisfaction.

Engineering coordination: When issuing work orders, check all structures and routers for accuracy. Request ECN’s when needed.

Leadership and Responsibility: Exercise leadership and responsibility for assigned areas.

Quality: Support and ensure adherence to the Quality Management System by yourself and/or other assigned personnel.

Safety: Support and enforce company safety programs, policies and objectives. Lead by example.
